Traditional Japanese cuisine in a trendy, yet upscale setting is what you can expect when dining at Nara-Ya in Washington D.C. Japanese Chef Director Kaz Okochi developed a menu full of Japanese flavors and unique trends that anyone would be happy to try. He took the best flavors and cooking techniques from Japan and brought them here for our enjoyment right here in the United States.
The dinner menu is robust and full of tasty options which include modern Japanese dishes such as seaweed salad, edamame hummus, miso clam chowder, Chilean Sea bass, and of course, hand-rolled sushi. You can indulge in the many different types of sushi some of which include the spicy salmon roll, unagi and cucumber, and the spicy tuna roll.
Drinks are never out of the question either here at Nara-Ya, try one of the many different flavorful wines or cocktails on the drink menu. The fizzy Sasuke is a favorite, a Tamagawa sake combined with Haku vodka, choya yuzu, and lavender sour apple syrup. Or try the Blossom cocktail which is a blend of Roku gin, Aperol, cranberry syrup, yuzu juice, and fresh pineapple and coconut water.
Join us for an exquisite night of authentic Japanese cuisine at Nara-Ya, open Mon-Thur 5-10 PM, Friday 5-11 PM, Saturday 4-11 PM, and Sundays from 4-10 PM.
